I have learnt to celebrate my meals, achievements, experiences, and leisure opportunities. I have also learnt to say ‘thank you’ whenever someone does good to me.

Avoiding comparing self to others

I lived a miserable life when I took moments to compare myself to the others. We are never the same. We may not start from the same platform. If your friend is a success story in business, it may be because he or she may have been in business for a longer time or has received great support from family. Checking reactions

People have different ways of reacting to different stimuli. Do you know that the way you react to stimuli will define the kind of person you are? It is you to make a choice on how you will be reacting. Those who are never perturbed when there is a challenge ahead are sometimes taken to be carefree. You can choose the best way to react to the challenges that come in your life.

Feeding your mind

I have come to discover that there is always a gap of information that I will need to bridge every time to change my life. Your mind has to be fed with the relevant literature in the arena of life that you would wish to change. If you are focusing on relationships, there are relationship resources that are available to ensure that you feed yourself appropriately.

To succeed in your spiritual life will require you to feed your mind spiritually.

There are inspirational and motivational materials that you can get, particularly on the internet that will enable you change your life in a big way.

Dreaming in the positive

You will have to feel yourself a success story first before you succeed. You will discover that you will need to have positive thoughts for you to start changing the problem areas in your life. You have to start by feeling more confident, calm, positive and decisive. Try to examine the people that surround you critically. If they are making you have negative thoughts, you will need to shun them off for you to succeed.

You should only imitate the people you feel are going to make you a winner.

Living positively now

At times what may have happened in the past may drift you away from the concerns of the present. The same may happen to you when you allow your future occupy you more than it is necessary. Learn from the past and remain focused on the goals and dreams for the future but enjoy your today. I have discovered that I need to enjoy today for me to change my life for tomorrow.

  • Hi,
    Very interesting and thought-provoking item.
I’ve been spending a considerable amount of time lately, thinking about avoiding the individuals in my life who seem to be draining my emotional energy.

They might become offended eventually, but, an individual needs to do what is best for his own personal development, as long as he does not infringe upon the rights of others.

I can therefore identify with lots of the points you’ve made. I’ll be back.
